Gosh! that looks succulent! Moroccan gastronomy is one of the best in the world..I really like it. There’s also a cake basically made with strong coffee, black chocolate and cinnamom, you may add to it either chopped almonds or walnuts, cuz they just sort well with both chocolate and cinnamon; the coffee aroma is not strong and the cake is pretty tasty…it’s just Y.U.M.M.Y!
absolutely! this is the beauty of cakes, once you get the base (eggs, flour, etc.) you can add your own touch and flavor it with the essences of your choice. almond extract is great! just few drops, it’s kind of strong
cheers!!!

I love moroccan tea! I got some mint from our moroccan friends and it comes back in our garden every year and I cut it and give it away for other people. Spread the love! LOL I dry it and save it for the winter but it is nice when it is fresh! Come and have tea with me Alia! Bring the cake! LOL
Hi Zwena,
Dont worry if you dont have orange extract. I personally LOVE orange flavor so I add the extract to enhance the orange flavor in the cake. Notice we already have the orange zest and orange juice, so your cake will be just fine without the extract.
However, I am also a big LOVER of Orange blossom I would add 2 tablespoons.
the thing with Orange blossom is that it has a very delicate flavor that goes mostly with nuts and delicate dough -it’s going to be pretty light in a cake dough
Alia this looks so wonderful, I have a question! If I don’t have orange extract, can I use orange blossom and how much to equal the same amount? Shukran bizef
Bravo Alia!
