i think thats one of the reason why the my cake wrecks. twice it happened to me but until now i still cannot find out the reason why.
The cake is rising too high whle baking then in the end, the sides are totally not cake-looking and uneven.

cornstarch and cornflower are not the same thing. the recipe says “cornflower” but she keeps saying “cornstarch” … so wich is it now ??

you need more than 8 egg whites for angel food cake… so 8 egg whites is nothing lol

you have self-raising flour insted of plain it makes the cake rise insted of using baking powder…
yes, i had the same problem. except for that, this cake looked and tasted great!. Next time i am going to try it by using more than the mentioned amount of vanilla essence to mask the egg odor.
