I would not suggest mixing chicken and lamb. You can mix lamb and beef since they are both red meat.

I had lean beef for kefta and it was very dry so I added..as I do in my own recipes…minced onion and two TBSP of yougurt. It turned out very most and tender and was yummy..thanks for the recipes

Dede, you are an artist in the kitchen, you are absolutely right, when one cooks, one must improvise, innovate and explore different ways. Sure there are traditional ways, but taste improves when you go your own way and add something from your imagination. That is what makes your dishes unique among others.

Dede, you mean silicone, it is better and healthier than plastic. By the way I did the keftes for a weekend party in my friend’s farm in Washington, it was attended by a diverse Middle Eastern group, Israelies, Greeks, Lebanese, Malaysian, Turkish, etc. and all of them loved the Keftes, Shookran and keep the great job.

Could I substitute ground pork or chicken for the lamb? This recipe looks absolutely delicious!
